VIJAYWADA: State governor Justice S Abdul Nazeer has said that Andhra Pradesh’s journey toward Swarna Andhra is a shining example of its unwavering commitment to prosperity, inclusivity, and sustainability. He said that this vision extends beyond numbers and economic indicators; it is about empowering people, strengthening communities, and ensuring that progress reaches every corner of the state.
The governor addressed the joint session of AP assembly and legislative council on the first day of the budget session on Monday. Council chairman K Moshen Raju, assembly speaker Ch Ayynna Patrudu, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu escorted the governor into the assembly.
Amidst slogan shouting by the YSRCP members demanding recognisation of opposition, governor continued his address. A little later, YSRCP members led by former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy boycotted the governor’s address in protest against not granting the principal opposition status to the party.
In his address, governor Nazeer said that Swarna Andhra vision is not just a govt initiative but it is a movement that calls upon every stakeholder to contribute toward shaping a modern, self-reliant, and globally competitive AP.
“It is the farmers who cultivate prosperity in the fields, the entrepreneurs who drive innovation, the youth who bring new energy, and the social leaders who ensure inclusivity. AP’s vast coastline, abundant natural resources, and skilled workforce position it uniquely for growth in sectors like renewable energy, green hydrogen, semiconductor manufacturing, and high-value exports,” observed governor.
He said that the state will continue fostering innovation, investing in infrastructure, and creating a business-friendly environment that attracts both domestic and global investors. He explained that a thriving economy is the foundation of a prosperous society, and AP will lead the way in shaping India’s future industries.
He said that ensuring that growth is sustainable and inclusive is equally important. He said that development cannot come at the cost of its environment or at the risk of widening social disparities.
“Policies must be designed with a long-term vision, integrating initiatives like Jal Jeevan Mission, gati shakti, and make in India with grassroots empowerment programs. Rural development must go hand in hand with urban expansion, ensuring that no community is left behind,” said governor.
He said that education, skilling, and digital access must be prioritized, equipping the youth with the tools they need to participate in a rapidly changing global economy. He said that they could truly say that progress has been achieved only when every individual feels empowered and included.

“Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached”, governor said that the strength of Andhra Pradesh lies not just in its policies and projects but in its people—their resilience, determination, and spirit of innovation. He hoped that the road ahead is full of opportunities, and it is up to each one of the state to seize them.
“This is our moment. The time to act is now. Let us work together, build together, and rise together, ensuring that AP stands tall as a beacon of development, not just for India but for the world,” said governor justice Nazeer.
