AICC in-charge of Telangana Meenakshi Natarajan met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his residence on Wednesday to discuss party affairs, and possible MLC candidates under the MLAs’ quota.

The meeting that lasted over an hour and was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Since the MLC elections will be held this month, for which the notification was already issued, the meeting focussed on the modalities to be adopted for the selection of party candidates.

Congress can easily win three seats on its own, and help AIMIM win the fourth seat.

Mr. Revanth Reddy informed the AICC in-charge about the demands of the pre-poll ally Communist Party of India (CPI), which is seeking at least one seat among the three as assured before the elections.

Ms. Natarajan shared her views on maintaining the social balance and giving opportunities to those who have not politically benefited despite serving the party sincerely.

The CM may go to New Delhi this weekend to further discuss matters with the party high command.
