Hyderabad district Collector Anudeep Durishetty has instructed officials to identify and assess examination centres for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG-2025, scheduled for May 4, and submit a report on the available infrastructure. With approximately 35,000 candidates expected to appear for the exam in Hyderabad district, the Collector stressed the need for well-equipped centres.
The directive was issued during a district-level committee meeting held at the Collectorate on Wednesday, March 5. Addressing the officials, the Collector highlighted the importance of ensuring basic amenities at all designated examination centres. He instructed Tahsildars to conduct site visits to locations including Kendriya Vidyalayas, government schools, colleges, railway schools, army schools, engineering colleges, central universities, CBSE schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and Eklavya Model Residential Schools. A detailed report is expected on the existing infrastructure and any necessary improvements, as per a release.
Anudeep Durishetty also highlighted key requirements such as adequate seating, drinking water, functional toilets, operational CCTV cameras, proper lighting, fans, power supply, and security measures. Each examination room should be set up to accommodate 24 candidates. Tahsildars have been tasked with monitoring these facilities and submitting a division-wise report, based on which further actions will be taken, the release said.
