Security breach at secretariat: 2 apprehended for flying drone

Hyderabad: In a major security breach, Telangana Special Protection Force (TGSPF) personnel apprehended two individuals flying a drone above the state secretariat and seized the drone.
The incident occurred on the night of March 11 but came to light on Friday. Following a complaint from TGSPF personnel deployed at the secretariat, a case was registered against the two individuals at Saifabad police station.
The suspects have been identified as Yetala Vamshi, a camera operator, and S Nagaraju, an outsourcing supervisor with the GHMC. They, along with the drone, were handed over to Saifabad police for further investigation. Police have confirmed that the case is currently under investigation.
According to police, security personnel stationed at the southeast tower of the secretariat noticed a drone flying near their duty post and over the lawn area of the secretariat. They immediately alerted their superiors.
A team was quickly deployed to trace the individuals responsible for flying the drone, a police official said.
