Vijayawada: A massive fire broke out at a cold storage facility in Jaggaiapet early Tuesday morning, destroying chilli and pulses worth approximately 15 crore. According to police, the fire was triggered by a short circuit and quickly engulfed the storage unit. Seven fire engines were deployed to the scene, and firefighters successfully doused the flames. Fire Services Director General Madireddy Pratap visited the site and inspected the damage. Police registered a case, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the incident. No casualties were reported.TNN
