TDP General Secretary, Nara Lokesh, strongly criticized the Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, for its failure to provide proper shelter for patients, resulting in them receiving treatment under the shade of trees at Vijayapuri South Community Hospital in Macherla Assembly Constituency, Palnadu district.

Lokesh emphasized that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s four and a half years of incompetence has become a curse for the people and the state government has utterly neglected public health. The TDP National General Secretary called on the Chief Minister to feel ashamed about providing medical services under trees at this government hospital, which serves as the sole healthcare facility for tribal communities in the Nallamala forest.

Highlighting this situation occurring in the home district of the State Medical and Health Minister Vidadala Rajini, Nara Lokesh questioned the state of healthcare in remote tribal areas like the Alluri Sitaramaraju district. He pointed out that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the state witnessed the tragic loss of thousands of innocent lives due to oxygen shortages.

Furthermore, Lokesh stressed that essential medical supplies such as cotton and gauze are often unavailable, even in teaching hospitals like those in Kurnool and Anantapur, due to the financial constraints of Jagan’s administration. He questioned how the Chief Minister can claim that medical and health services are being delivered to people at their doorsteps through programs like Jagananna Arogya Suraksha when such dire conditions persist in the state.
