Warangal: Sulakshya Seva Samithi, an organisation dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of society, celebrated its twelfth anniversary at Vivekananda Vidya Kendra, Kashibugga in Warangal on Sunday.
Warangal East Zone DCP Ankit Kumar Sankhwar who attended the celebrations commended the NGO for tirelessly continuing philanthropic activities across diverse sections of society for the past twelve years guiding youth back to their roots and cultural heritage.
He advised younger generations to respect and learn from their elders. Every individual contributing to societal betterment was a civil servant; one does not need power to effect positive change, he felt.
Renowned novelist Ampasayya Naveen lauded the samithi’s commitment to societal progress. He stressed on the need to give importance to native language Telugu while expressing concerns over privatisation of the education system, shift from Telugu to English as primary medium of instruction in government schools.
Sulakshya Seva Samithi founder president Santhosh Manduva stated that the testimonials from noted individuals from across the society served as a driving force propelling the samithi’s successful twelve-year journey.
Vandemataram Vishnuchaitanya of Vivekananda Vidya Kendra explained about the activities conducted by the Vidya Kendra in nurturing young minds. The Vidya Kendra staff was honoured with new clothes. Saikiran Vangala, Kodam Vinay, Praneeth Kaparthi, Vamshi Bukka, Sai Santhosh and others were present.
