BHPian dipen recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Just check out the Syros in Mumbai. On colors, white is a little bland, light Blue is a little cool (modern). From the looks of it, bright colors will look good and completement the black-silver alloys well. Both 16″ and 17″ alloys look decent. On features, while everything is super and listed already in the threads, one misses I found was no keyless entry as couldn’t see a request sensor and sales exec also couldn’t unlock with key in pocket. Biggest and cunningly shocking miss for manual variants (top is HTX in MT) is that there is no auto climate control. But with the barrage of buttons on the dash, one wont realise it easily and the look is maintained well. Meaning you need to adjust with red and blue bars for coldness and adjust the fan speed manually. You cant set the temperature control to 23 or 24 degrees) and set to Auto. For Auto climate control one needs to stretch to HTX+ AT which is expected to be near ~ 19 big on road. Harman Kardon system is good, but obviously not Infinity in Hector good. But comparable to 3XO and competition. Normal ears wont complain. Higher volumes will distort sound with bass set to high. Build quality is decent good, things screwed well, but too many joins in window trims and some areas. Doors wont feel like the VW/Skoda. But not super light either. But considering a Sonet diesel AT top end is ~ 19; this feels more value. The finish on some things while great could feel a little fragile in very few cases (just nitpicking). Ambient lighting is very nicely done and well integrated in the HTX+ variants. Door trims have good soft touch plastic. Interior feel is better than Creta /Seltos/Sonet. Seats are supportive with very decent underthigh support. Maybe just a cm smaller seat base than VW/Skoda. Much better than 3XO which is horrible. Dual tone Seat colors are very elegant and well done. Rear legroom is a killer. Completely on par with 4.3 meter cars or maybe better than many; mainly due to smaller bonnet area and a more vertical windscreen. Very comfortable place to be. Headroom is class leading. Headrests while adjustable in higher variants are okish. This is a really a true urban family car. The size of panaromic sunroof is super massive for a car of this size. Roof fabric is thin but so are others who offer the same. Again its a massive glass area. MT gearbox while not bad didn’t feel like Buttery Hyundais 1.2 Kappas and clutch wasnt as supersoft either. Throws are not very long and slot well. Maybe all turbo petrols have a slightly harder clutch than the NA engines from what I am starting to see. Test drives expected to start in early Feb.
