Vijayawada: Senior IAS officer R.P. Sisodia officially assumed charge on Wednesday as the special chief secretary for handlooms and Textiles under the industries and commerce department at the state Secretariat. Prior to taking charge, Sisodia performed puja, seeking success in his new responsibilities.
On this occasion, handlooms and textiles commissioner Rekha Rani briefed him on key departmental matters, ongoing schemes, and future strategies. The discussions highlighted major initiatives to strengthen the handloom sector, modernize infrastructure, and improve the livelihoods of artisans.
The event was attended by V.R. Vijayaraghava Naik, Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board, handlooms and textile department and other officials.
