Samsung has released the April 2025 software update for the Galaxy S25 series in the USA. The update is currently available for factory-unlocked units and brings charging animation and media player widget improvements to the smartphones. The update reached Europe earlier this week.
Galaxy S25 gets April 2025 update in USA
The April 2025 update is rolling out for the factory-unlocked units of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in the USA. It comes with firmware version S93xu1ueu2ayd9 and has a download size of around 700MB. Besides the April 2025 security patch, it also brings fixes to the battery charging animation and the media player widget in the notifications area.

The battery charging animation that appears in the status bar battery icon now looks smoother after installing the update. Samsung has also brought the media player widget to the notifications area. Earlier, the media player widget only appeared on the lock screen Now Bar and the Quick Panel page.
How to install the software update?
If you have a Galaxy S25 series phone and live in the USA, you can now check for the new update on your device. To do that, head over to Settings » Software update » Download and install. The update will likely arrive in more countries and regions within the next few days.
Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy Tab S10 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in select countries.
