Vijayawada: Students studying in municipal schools under the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) recorded impressive results in the recently announced SSC (Class 10) examinations.
According to officials, 2,544 students from 29 VMC-run schools appeared for the exams, out of which 2,056 students passed, marking 80.8% pass percentage
K Praneet Kumar, a student of AKTP municipal high school, emerged as the top scorer among all municipal school students by securing 592 marks out of 600. Close behind, students from Govindarajulu English medium municipal school in Patamata scored 590 marks. Another standout performer, Diddi Anu, who studied at Dr Jandhyala Dakshinamurthy School in VAMBAY Colony, scored 582 marks. Giving credits to his parents for their hard work and support for his success, he expressed that his dream was to become an IAS officer.
Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga municipal corporation high school in Krishna Lanka achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate, setting an example of academic excellence. Municipal administration minister P Narayana appreciated the performance and announced that govt is preparing a special plan to enhance academic standards and improve infrastructure in municipal schools. He added that students would receive special coaching from school level to prepare for competitive exams like NEET, IIT, CA, and CWA. Municipal commissioner HM Dhyana Chandra credited the teachers’ dedication, planning, and the implementation of bridge courses for the students’ success.
City mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi praised the results and said, this was proof that students in municipal schools can excel when provided with the right guidance and support.
