Hyderabad, May 2 (UNI) The Telangana government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has unveiled an ambitious plan to host the 72nd Miss World 2025 pageant in Hyderabad from May 10 to 31.
The event aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage and unique identity of Telangana to a global audience, while also boosting the state’s international brand image and attracting large-scale investments.
With the slogan “All Eyes of the World Are on Telangana!”, the event is being positioned as a historic milestone for the state.
Contestants from around 120 countries will arrive in Hyderabad between May 2 and 8, ahead of the official start of the pageant.
A carefully curated itinerary has been prepared to introduce the contestants and international guests to Telangana’s diverse culture, spiritual heritage, tourism potential, medical infrastructure, and development journey.
As part of the program, several thematic tours and events have been scheduled. On May 12, the contestants will take part in a Buddhist Spiritual Tour to Nagarjunasagar to experience the Buddhavanam Project and the Buddhist Theme Park. On the same day, a Hyderabad Heritage Walk will be conducted around Charminar and Laad Bazaar to highlight the city’s architectural and cultural legacy.
On May 13, the contestants will visit Chowmahalla Palace, followed by a live music concert. On May 14, the participants will be divided into two groups — one will explore the Thousand Pillar Temple and Warangal Fort, while the other will visit the UNESCO-recognized Ramappa Temple and witness a performance of the traditional Perini dance.
The itinerary continues with a visit to the Yadagirigutta Temple for Group 1 and a handloom experiential tour in Pochampally for Group 2 on May 15.
On May 16, Group 1 will attend a medical tourism event at AIG Hospital, highlighting Telangana’s growing prominence in global healthcare, while Group 2 will visit the Children’s Banyan Tree in Mahabubnagar and Experian Eco Park in the evening.
On May 17, contestants will participate in the Miss World Sports Finals at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, followed by a tour of Ramoji Film City. On May 18, they will visit the Telangana Police Integrated Command and Control Center as part of the state’s “Safety Tourism” initiative and later tour the state Secretariat and attend the popular Sunday-Funday carnival at Tank Bund.
The Continental Finales will be held on May 20 and 21, featuring region-specific fast-track selections. Group 1 contestants will also attend an IPL match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, while Group 2 will take part in an Arts and Crafts Workshop by Telangana artists at Shilparamam.
The final week of the pageant will include the Miss World Talent Finale on May 22, the Head-to-Head Challenge Finale on May 23, and the Miss World Top Model, Fashion Finale & Pearl Room Show on May 24. The “Beauty with Passion” segment will take place on May 26, culminating in the Grand Finale of Miss World 2025 on May 31.
On May 2, Miss World Limited Chairperson and CEO Julia Evelyn Morley, along with Miss World Officer Kerry, arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to oversee preparations.
