Decision On Anti-Communal Task Force Will Be Taken In Couple Of Days: Karnataka Home Minister

Bengaluru: “We have taken a decision to constitute an Anti-Communal Force (ACF) within police department in the State and the Anti-Communal Force will be set-up on the lines of Anti-Naxal Force (ANF),” said Minister of Home Affairs, Dr G Parameshwar and stated initially, Anti-Communal Force was planned for two-districts and ACF will be extended to districts where communal amity is disturbed in the State.

Talking to media persons in Bengaluru on Wednesday, Parameshwar said “The aim of constituting an Anti-Communal Force is to monitor peace is maintained in the society. Already polarization is taking place here and there and ACF will put to rest all such activities that disturb communal amity.”

“I had asked DG to send a proposal on Anti-Communal Force and I have been told that proposal has been sent to the State Government. We, at the Government level will examine and approve it,” he said and stated a decision on the constitution of the Anti-Communal Force will be taken in a couple of days.

Regarding ceasefire between India and Pakistan was first announced by United States of America, the Home Minister said, he came across a tweet from United States President Donald Trump who was first to declare ceasefire between India and Pakistan during a meeting with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah when discussion was going on for steps to be initiated to handle emergency situations arising out of India-Pakistan strikes at each other.

“Initially, it was hard to believe in the ceasefire declared by US President Donald Trump and there was no clarification from the Defense Ministry. A half-an-hour later, the Defense spokesperson confirmed the ceasefire between India and Pakistan,” said the Home Minister and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to explain to the people of the country what led to the ceasefire with Pakistan since”It is a nation’s security issue.”
