Seven arrested, over 4.6 kg ganja seized in Hyderabad raids


State Task Force (STF) of the Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department arrested seven individuals in four seperate cases on Friday. A total of 4.64 kilograms of ganja was seized.

In the first incident, Raghavendra and Roshan Kumar, were taken into custody following a raid in IDA Bollaram. The officials seized 1.14 kilogram of ganja along with a two-wheeler and a mobile phone used for the trade. Meanwhile, the search for two other suspects is in progress, Nandu and Ajay, who are currently on the run.

In another case, 1.1 kilogram of ganja was seized from a motor servicing centre in Ameerpet, leading to the arrest of Kushmi Srinath and Vadapalli Karthik. Both have been handed over to the Ameerpet Excise Station along with the seized contraband.

In Charminar, another duo was arrested with 1.3 kilogram of ganja. The accused, identified as Salim bin Nazir and Balman Mohammed Akbar Khan were arrested. A case has also been booked against their accomplice Rahim Khan, who is currently absconding.

In Quthbullapur, Vadagateja was arrested with 1.1 kg of ganja.
