K Kavitha’s letter to her father KCR ‘leaked’, she says he is ‘surrounded by demons’ | Hyderabad News

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha on Friday night said her father and former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, known as KCR, is “surrounded by some demons” after a letter that she had written to him two weeks ago surfaced in the public domain.

In the letter, Kavitha had written that KCR’s speech at the BRS’s silver jubilee meeting in Hanumakonda district, held on April 27, lacked “punch”. She wrote that KCR had not criticised the BJP enough during his speech, and this had led to speculation that the BRS would merge with the ruling party at the Centre. “I felt that you should have targeted the BJP. Probably because I suffered,” she wrote, referencing her arrest in the Delhi liquor scam case.

On Friday night, she landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad after a trip to the US. “KCR garu is God. But he is surrounded by some demons… There is only one leader for Telangana and that is KCR. But he is surrounded by covert operatives…,” she told reporters at the airport.

She said that what she had written in the letter to KCR was feedback that she received “from leaders in the party and the people of Telangana broadly”.

“I have written to my father in the past also. Whenever I wanted to give feedback, I have written to him. But this time it got leaked. I believe it is the handiwork of some of the coverts in the party and the party should decide how to deal with them,” she said, adding that she had not written anything against KCR or the party and that the letter was meant to strengthen the party.

Festive offer

“If my letter can leak from the party, consider the situation of others,” she said.

In her letter, she had listed eight positive points of the speech and eight negative points. She had pointed out that KCR spoke about the BJP for just two minutes.

KCR has been at the receiving end of criticism from the Congress, which has targeted him for not attending Assembly sessions for a long time. While there has been speculation that the BRS will merge with the BJP, some BJP leaders have been suggesting that KCR’s party will merge with the Congress.
