Ahmedabad: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Gujarat Titans (GT) with a significant margin of 83 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad this evening. Despite the victory, they could not avoid a last-placed finish in IPL 2025.
For the first 15 seasons of their existence in the Indian Premier League (IPL), CSK had not finished at the bottom of the points table even once. Prior to IPL 2025, CSK was the only ‘OG’ IPL team to never have finished at the very bottom of the table.
For the first time in the IPL history, the Chennai Super Kings have finished at the bottom of the table, bagging wooden spoon after failing to beat Gujarat Titans by a 110-run margin at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
