The State government on Wednesday accorded administrative sanction for the establishment of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) campus at Mahabubnagar.
The order issued by Secretary Yogita Rana acknowledged the proposals of Telangana Council of Higher Education and the Commissioner of Technical Education (CTE) about the need for a campus at Mahabubnagar.
The new campus will become operational 2025-26 academic year onwards with three courses: Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), and Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science).
Details relating to the budget and required posts on the campus will be issued separately.
The order directed Vice Chancellor of RGUKT Basar and the CTE for further necessary action.
Meanwhile, RGUKT Basar released the notification for admissions to its six-year integrated courses. The Basar campus will have an intake of 1,500 seats and Mahbubnagar will have an intake of 180 seats. Candidates can apply from May 31 to June 21.
