Hyderabad: In a move to ease chronic traffic congestion and improve commuter safety at the Lothukunta Y Junction under Trimulgherry police limits, a large tree obstructing high-clearance vehicles and traffic flow was relocated on Wednesday.
After securing the necessary permissions from relevant authorities, the tree was carefully shifted to the ITI College campus in Alwal. The relocation aims to facilitate smoother vehicular movement, especially for commuters from RP Nilayam Road who previously struggled to make a U-turn towards Alwal, said a traffic police official in a press release.
“With the tree relocated, vehicles from Alwal can now take a free left towards RP Nilayam without hindrance,” the official added. He also assured that efforts are underway to ensure the tree’s healthy re-growth at its new location.
