In a heartfelt move that left fans cheering, Aamir Khan has announced that his iconic 2007 film Taare Zameen Par will be made available to stream for free on YouTube.
However, the film will be available only for a limited time. The surprise reveal came during a recent fan meetup where Aamir shared that the film, long missing from OTT platforms, will be uploaded to his newly launched YouTube channel, Aamir Khan Talkies.

It will reportedly stream for around 1-2 weeks.
This nostalgic gesture is perfectly timed ahead of the release of its spiritual sequel, Sitaare Zameen Par. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on June 20, 2025.
During the meetup, Aamir fondly recalled working with Darsheel Safary and praised his natural acting prowess. The actor added that despite being a child, Darsheel would absorb directions effortlessly and nail every take.

Sitaare Zameen Par is quite the opposite of its predecessor and is going to be a sports comedy-drama. It features Genelia Deshmukh and Dolly Ahluwalia. The film is penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma and jointly produced by Aamir Khan, Aparna Purohit, and Ravi Bhagchandka.
Now, that’s a good way of promoting the upcoming film. Of course, the audience liked Taare Zameen Par for its excellent narrative and social message.

However, Bollywood buffs are still in doubt whether the sequel, Sitaare Zameen Par will work like the earlier one since its story is entirely different and has rather taken a comic turn.
Aamir Khan needs a big hit right now, considering that his last film Laal Singh Chaddha failed to leave an impression. Aamir is doing everything he can to promote Sitaare Zameen Par.
But the film’s success will depend on the content. The screenplay has to keep audiences engaged and the story has to be attractive with entertaining elements. Let’s wait until June 20, 2025 to find out more details.
