Tata Motors recently launched its flagship electric offering – the Harrier EV – at a starting price of Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Following the electric Harrier, the home-grown automaker is set to introduce the Tata Sierra SUV, aiming to challenge the dominance of Hyundai Creta and other midsize SUVs including the Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara. Tata is betting big on both these electric SUVs. Here are all the key details of the we know so far about the upcoming Sierra SUV.
Tata Sierra Launch & Prices:
The carmaker has confirmed that the Sierra EV will be launched first, followed by its ICE version. While official prices will be announced closer to the 2025 Diwali season, it’s estimated to be priced between Rs 12 lakh – Rs 20 lakh for the ICE version and Rs 22 lakh – Rs 28 lakh for the electric model (all, ex-showroom).

Tata Sierra Features:
Tata is likely to equip the Sierra with a host of advanced goodies, some of which could be borrowed from the Harrier EV. Here’re the expected feature list

Tata Sierra Petrol/Diesel Specs:
The ICE-powered Sierra could be offered with a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 2.0L diesel engine. It will come with choices of manual and automatic transmissions.
Tata Sierra EV:
The official powertrain specifications are yet to be revealed. However, the Sierra EV is expected to share its batteries with the Harrier EV, which is available with 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs. A dual motor setup and QWD system are likely to be reserved for the higher trims. The range figures for the Sierra may differ from those of the Harrier EV.
