According to news agency PTI, the deceased is suspected to have been killed somewhere else and her body was put in the trolley bag, they said, adding the body was found in a highly decomposed condition. “It seems the body was put in the trolley bag around 10-15 days back,” a senior police official said.
Some people who were walking near the bushes noticed the distinctive smell and alerted the police.

The nearby police stations were also informed to see if any missing cases were reported under their limits.
The cause of death is still not known, police said, adding the body was shifted to a state-run hospital for postmortem. A case was registered at Bachupally police station.
In a separate incident, a suitcase was found emanating a foul smell. It was spotted by a local resident who immediately alerted the police about it. Upon investigation, the police found a decomposing body inside it. The dead body was of a woman, the police said, adding that an investigation has been launched in the matter.
It is assumed that the woman would have been aged 35-40 years. She had a tattoo on her forearm, and only a letter of that is visible, the police said, reported TOI.
According to Raigad SP, Somnath Gharge, several residents of Durshet village in Pen taluka, noticed the pungent smell coming from the suitcase. The locals informed the police about it. When the officials reached the spot, they found the dead body, and sent it to JJ Hospital for a postmortem examination.
Senior inspector of Pen police, Sandeep Bagul, said an FIR has been filed in the matter, with a special team being formed to investigate the case. “The local crime branch team is conducting a parallel probe. We are scanning CCTV camera footage from the vicinity,” added the media report.
