Tirupati: Two persons were killed and eight others injured in a road accident near AS Peta cross at Atmakur in Nellore district in the early hours of Thursday. According to local police, a group of nine agricultural labourers from Venkatrao Palli were heading for work in an autorickshaw when a speeding SUV rammed into the auto at high speed. The impact was so severe that the auto was completely mangled. While Pulla Reddy (45) and Ajma (40) died on the spot, eight others including the SUV driver were rushed to the govt hospitals at Atmakur and Nellore.
