Hyundai recently announced its ambitious product strategy, which includes the launch of 26 new models by 2030 across ICE (internal combustion engine), hybrid and electric segments. While the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed names and details of all upcoming models, one of them will be the Hyundai Palisade SUV. It will serve as Hyundai’s flagship offering with a hybrid powertrain, slated to arrive in 2028.
Hyundai Palisade Price In India
Being a flagship SUV, the Palisade will surely be a premium offering. If Hyundai manages to localize the SUV for domestic and export markets, it’s estimated to cost nearly Rs 50 lakh or more (ex-showroom). At this price point, it will face challenge from cars like Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Jeep Meridian.

The Palisade will be the first Hyundai model to feature the brand’s next-generation hybrid powertrain, which is claimed to deliver a 45 percent improvement in fuel efficiency and better performance. This new hybrid tech will be offered with two petrol engines – a 1.6L turbo and a 2.5L. The India-bound 7/8-seater Hyundai SUV will feature the larger 2.5L petrol engine, enhanced with regenerative braking system and V2L (vehicle-to-load) charging functionalities.

The combined power and torque outputs of this new hybrid configuration will stand at 334bhp and 460Nm, respectively. It will provide a fuel efficiency of 14.1kmpl and a claimed driving range of 1,015km.
In global markets, the Palisade is currently available with a 3.5L V6 petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 290bhp and 353Nm of torque. A 6-speed automatic gearbox sends power to the front wheels. The upcoming hybrid version of the SUV could be offered with an optional AWD (all-wheel drive) system. It offers three drive modes (Eco, Sport and My Drive) and three terrain modes (Mud, Snow and Sand).
