Hyderabad job seeker duped of Rs. 1.1 lakh in cyber fraud


Hyderabad: A job aspirant from the city was duped of Rs. 1.1 lakh by cyber fraudsters who promised him a high-paying job.

According to the police, the 35-year-old man recently received a job offer via WhatsApp from individuals posing as officials of a reputed software company.


The scam began when the victim contacted the fraudsters. They assured him of a lucrative job and collected nearly Rs. 1.1 lakh from him in installments.

The fraudsters claimed the money was required for processing and investment purposes. However, after receiving the funds, they stopped responding.
