Expected cabin upgrades

The new Mahindra Thar 2026 facelift is likely to borrow several features from the Thar Roxx. The rugged SUV is expected to come with a newly-designed dashboard, a larger touchscreen infotainment system running on the latest UI and an updated digital instrument cluster. The hydraulic power steering could be replaced with a new electric unit.

The 3-door Thar’s cabin could also be updated with premium features such as a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, 6 airbags as standard, rear disc brakes, Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) and more.

Same Engines:

Mechanically, the new Mahindra Thar facelift is likely to remain unchanged. This means the existing 152bhp, 2.0L turbo petrol, 119bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel and 2.2L turbo diesel engine will be carried over from the pre-facelift model. Transmission choices will also remain unchanged – i.e. a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
