The Los Angeles Sparks host the Seattle Storm tonight as each team looks to cement themselves in the WNBA playoff race.
The Sparks started off their season a dreadful 2-6, but have since won two of their following four games, including a victory over the 5-5 Las Vegas Aces, sitting just ahead of them in the Western Conference standings. That alone is enough to prove the Sparks could put up a solid fight against the 6-5 Storm. However, the Sparks do have one glaring disadvantage. This time, they are playing at home.
The Sparks are an abysmal 1-5 when playing at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with a net rating of -5.2 when playing at home, the fourth-worst mark in the WNBA.
The Storm, meanwhile, are just two games removed from handing the Minnesota Lynx their first and only loss of the season. Sure, they may have dropped a game to the Golden State Valkyries immediately after, but a win over Minnesota proves that they can hang with the best of the best. So, are we going to see that version of the Storm tonight, or will we see the version that was trailing by 13 at the end of the first half against Golden State?
Here’s how to watch tonight’s Storm vs. Sparks contest.
The Seattle Storm will face off against the Los Angeles Sparks at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. local) on Tuesday, June 17, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
