G7 Summit pressure: World leaders had gathered in Canada to attend the G7 Summit with a goal to help diffuse the heightened tension and pressure built between Israel and Iran. French President Emmanuel Macron said that Trump told G7 leaders that he is considering the prospect of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. “An offer was made especially to get a ceasefire and to then kick-start broader discussions,” Macron said. German Chancellor Mertz said that combined, the US and Israel have the capacity to wipe out Iran’s nuclear facilities. Now, the G7 nations expressed support to Israel and labeled Iran as a source of instability in the Middle East.
