We have reached the halfway mark of 2025, and the next 3-4 months are going to be super exciting for the Indian automotive industry. At least 13 new cars launches are lined up before the Diwali season, covering multiple segments including SUVs, MPVs, EVs, hybrids and major facelifts. Here’s a quick look at the upcoming 13 new cars.

Maruti Shield/And Vitar
Maruti Suzuki has planned two major product launches for this festive season – the Escudo midsize SUV and the e Vitara electric SUV. Both models are expected to arrive between September – October, 2025. The Escudo will be a more affordable alternative to the Grand Vitara, sharing its platform, powertrain and features. The Maruti and Vitara will come with 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs, delivering a range of over 500km.
KIA KEY EV
The KIA KEY EV will hit showrooms in July, 2025. This EV is expected to borrow powertrain from the Hyundai Creta Electric, which is available with 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery pack options. However, the claimed range figures for the Carens EV could be different, as it will be heavier than the Creta EV. EV-specific changes will be made to both the exterior and interior.
MG M9/Cyberster
JSW MG Motor India is all set to launch the M9 luxury electric MPV and Cyberster electric sports car in the coming months. Both models will be sold exclusively through MG Select premium dealerships. Bookings for the MG M9 are already underway. The M9 uses a 90kWh battery pack and delivers a claimed range of 430km. The MG Cyberster will come with a 77kWh battery, promising a range of 580km.
Tata Punch Facelift/Sierra/Harrier & Safari Petrol

The updated Tata Punch is expected to arrive in the next couple of months, featuring minor updates while retaining the engine setup. The new Tata Sierra is one of the biggest product launches of this year and will be offered with three powertrain options – petrol, diesel and electric. The Tata Harrier and Safari petrol will also be launched in the coming months, with a 170PS, 1.5L TGDi engine.
Mahindra XUV3XO EV/Bolero Neo Facelift
Mahindra & Mahindra will soon introduce the electric XUV3XOwhich is likely to be followed by the updated Bolero Neo. The Mahindra Bolero Neo is scheduled to make its official debut on 15th August, 2025. The SUV is expected to receive noticeable changes inside and out. However, the engine is likely to remain unchanged.
Renault Kiger & Triber Facelift
The Renault Kiger and Triber facelifts are currently in the testing phase and are expected to launch in the next 3-4 months. Both cars will receive minimal cosmetic changes and feature upgrades. They will continue to be powered by the same engines – a 72bhp, 1.0L NA petrol and a 100bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol.
