The CM said Nagarjuna had admitted to the encroachment and handed the land back to the government. He called the gesture “commendable” and described Nagarjuna as a “real hero.”

The land in question included a portion of Tummidi Cheruvu, which falls under the Full Tank Level (FTL) zone — a protected area where construction is not permitted.

According to reports, the N-Convention Centre, co-founded in 2015 by Nagarjuna and Nalla Preetham Reddy under N3 Enterprises, was built by encroaching on lake land and its buffer zone.

Following multiple complaints, the state’s HYDRA team demolished parts of the illegal construction in August 2024, under tight security.

CM Revanth Reddy acknowledged this enforcement and praised Nagarjuna’s cooperation with authorities.

He said the actor’s decision reflected a sense of responsibility and respect for the law — a contrast to many who continue to occupy public lands illegally, particularly lakes and water channels in Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to criticize the BRS party, accusing them of spreading false narratives around land issues in areas like Gachibowli.

He reiterated his government’s focus on urban development, including plans for a Net-Zero “Future City.” He also emphasized the need to tackle pollution, which he called a major threat to Hyderabad’s future.

Revanth Reddy concluded by promising strong action against encroachments and those obstructing development under the guise of politics.
