Hyderabad: Speeding car crashes into hoarding, overturns near CBIT in Gandipet


Hyderabad: A speeding car went out of control and crashed into an advertisement hoarding near CBIT in Gandipet on Friday afternoon. No casualties were reported.

Rash and negligent driving is suspected to have led to the mishap.


As per available information, the accident occurred when a few unidentified youths, suspected to be college students, were proceeding in the car from Shankarpalli towards Narsingi.

When they reached Gandipet, the car driver lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into the hoarding. With the same speed, the car jumped over the road median and turned over before coming to a halt.

It is learnt that the airbags in the car got instantly activated, averting any major mishap.

The details of the students were not known.

The Narsingi police are investigating.
