
The announcement for Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana has been making headlines ever since the release of its first look; however, the film’s star-studded cast is also facing some intense scrutiny for not living up to the standards of the roles they’re portraying.
Sai Pallavi, who is set to play the character of Sita in the film, has reportedly been advised by the producers to refrain from any media interactions until the movie’s release.

This decision comes after several of Sai Pallavi’s previous comments in media interviews sparked controversies that ended up upsetting certain communities.
Given the immense political and religious significance of Ramayana in today’s time, every aspect of the film and its cast is being held under the microscope.

The producers are highly aware that any misstep, intentional or not, could result in a public backlash, protests, or even calls for a boycott.
Sai Pallavi isn’t the only star facing this pressure. Ranbir Kapoor, who will be portraying the character of Lord Ram, has also faced heavy criticism for previously admitting in an interview that he enjoys eating meat and drinking alcohol.

Producers have already raised their guards to stay away from any controversy leading up to the film’s production and release.

Many online feel this approach may backfire, as the topic is so sensitive that even the smallest gesture or comment from the cast will be closely scrutinized.
