Went for family outing in Fortuner and 3 series. Coastal KA/KL makes for a nice drive during monsoon

Greenery and internal roads(devoid of traffic) makes for a lovely drive. While the 3 is quick, had to be careful anticipating surprise potholes.Roads were mostly good, there were few potholes and bad patches. We stayed at Gateway Bekal which was newly opened. Good place and loved the food. Its not a beach property and is adjacent to backwater. Was raining quite heavily throughout our stay and we spent time indoor and some time getting drenched in rain.
Fortuner is inching close to 5 year mark and has clocked 67K KM’s. Back in 2021 I had bought this car 45-46L, and almost same car costs close to 57L now. While most models see drastic changes in a span of 5 years , quite happy to see Toyota selling Fortuner with minimal changes. When you invest big money, frequent changes is always disheartening.
