CPI Leader Chandu Rathod Shot Dead in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: CPI leader Chandu Rathod was allegedly shot dead during a morning walk in Hyderabad on Tuesday. According to the officials, a group of three to four unidentified assailants approached him in a white Swift car and sprinkled chilli powder on him. Thereafter, they opened fire at him. However, Rathod died on the spot while trying to escape.
The victim’s wife suspects a political rivalry, pointing fingers at Rajesh of CPI(ML), a native of Devaruppala. Police reached the spot, and the investigation is underway. More details on the matter are awaited.
