Skeleton found in locked, abandoned house near Nampally, Hyderabad; police say man died years ago – Hyderabad News


A human skeleton was discovered inside a locked house near Nampally Market in Hyderabad. The house had reportedly remained locked and unattended for the past 4 to 5 years.

The incident came to light when local residents noticed a foul smell emanating from the premises and alerted the authorities. A team from Habeebnagar Police Station, including the Inspector and Detective Inspector, arrived at the scene around 12 PM on Monday and began an investigation.

Preliminary findings confirmed that the skeletal remains were human. The deceased has been identified as Ameer Khan, estimated to be between 55 and 60 years of age. According to his brother, Khan was unmarried.

The remains were shifted for forensic medical examination to determine the cause and estimated time of death. The case is being investigated under the supervision of ACP Asifnagar, Kishan Kumar.

Police suspect that the death may have gone unnoticed due to the deceased’s isolated lifestyle. Further investigation is underway.
