The bicycle is an attention-grabbing machine! I can’t go to college even a single day without a person asking me “Battery gaadi na” or how much range it gives on a charge

6 months and 1000km: Update
Just reached the 1000km milestone on the T-Rex after almost 6 months. My daily running is on the lower side at around 7-8 km, but frequent cycling trips on the weekends brought this milestone a little faster. A few key observations/takeaways post 1k:
-Most people are impressed that it gievs around 40-50km sometimes on a single charge at a price of 35000. (FYI – My college lecturer is now planning to buy one after seeing how fast and efficiently I can commute on the T-rex.
– I can say with confidence that the real-world range with PAS (Pedal assist system) is around 30 to 45km, depending on how you make use of the motor. If you put more stress on it on uphills, you can see the energy bar decrease immediately. Using it sedately while pedalling is a good exercise and also conserves battery.
– You can be fully dependent on the throttle ONLY if the charge/energy is above 75%, otherwise you will have to pedal on steeper roads. The T-rex is at its best when running on full charge and can reach speeds of 35km/h only on throttle.
– The longest range I have extracted till now is 55km, when I consciously pedalled more and used fewer levels of the PAS.
– The seat nut is of terrible quality and keeps bending often.
– The brake pads need to be tightened every 100 km. (Have gotten it done about 5 times till now.
– First service : The first service was free at 500km and they just did an overall check up on the battery and motor health and the condition of the brake pads. I was told that the pads will easily last another 1000kms due to the fact that I dint speed much for the initial 400kms.
– In response to this, have ridden in quite heavy rains in the past few weeks and the cycle was even soaked to the bone when I left it outside one day but no damage was seen. Riding in the rains was very fun, but the mudguards provided are #1 useless. They dont stop any water and makes my back/bag fully wet, taking out the fun of riding through puddles.
– The practicality and speed in zipping through the city are unmatched even by most scooters (especially in traffic jams). I did Chikkalasandra-Jayanagar (around 8km) in roughly 20 minutes, while the same by car/auto/bike would have taken at least 35 minutes during peak evening traffic.
– The horn is almost useless, not loud enough to be heard in traffic or inside a car.
– The handlebar position is good and comfortable, but the seat is not. planning to get one with memory foam as this seat is painful to sit on for longer rides.
– The longest ride I have done at once till now is about 40km (Lalbagh -> Cubbon Park-> Vidhana Souda, some roaming around the area and back)
Overall, pretty happy with the purchase. A friend too is impressed and is planning to buy one soon. Will keep this thread updated, and any queries, happy to respond
