Hyderabad: A couple who got married four months ago was found dead in their house at Laxmi Nagar colony, Amberpet on Wednesday.

Asia Hashim Khan ( 29) from Uttar Pradesh and Pavan Kumavath (21) from Rajasthan, who got married four months ago, were found hanging in their rented house in Laxmi Nagar, Golnaka on Wednesday evening.

The local people who noticed the couple had not come out of the house since morning got suspicious and informed an acquaintance of the couple who reached the spot.

On sensing something suspicious, the police were informed. The police then broke the house and found the couple hanging to the ceiling fans. The relatives and friends of the couple told the police that they were facing financial difficulties, which had led to minor disputes between them.

“The couple might have slipped into depression over problems arising out of financial issues and might have ended their lives. A case is registered and is being investigated from all angles,” said Amberpet Inspector, T Kiran Kumar said.

The bodies were sent to the Osmania mortuary for post-mortem examination.
