BHPian //M recently shared this with other enthusiasts: “Winter Spiti” – a name that sparks emotions amongst people who seek adventure, harsh weather, inhospitable terrain and the sheer cold. We got all of these, in ample amount, but what we got the most were memories. Memories that will last a lifetime. Stories that will fuel adrenaline rush amongst us forever. A group of 14 boys in 6 cars jumped at the pretext of visiting Spiti during the winters hoping to get to see snowfall and experience the cold winters. Hence, what unfolded was an epic adventure of 11 days (ex-Delhi). The amount of snowfall we got to witness has probably satisfied our curiosity, desires and spirits for a decade !! Coming to the car, the Hilux is such an absolute beast. The sheer amount of torque made sure we are out of every obstacle in no time. The BF Goodrich tyres were phenomenal over all broken surfaces and snow covered roads. And yes, temperatures hovered below -25 degrees on 6 consecutive nights, but the car did start at first crank every single morning without fail. I will now let the pictures do some talking.
