A bhoomi puja was conducted on Friday for the construction of a new Grievance Cell and Media Gallery at the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Guntur district. The project is being sponsored by VIT-AP University as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Superintendent of Police, Guntur district, S. Satish Kumar, along with VIT-AP University Vice-Chancellor S.V. Kota Reddy and Registrar Jagadish Chandra, took part in the ceremony.
The SP expressed his gratitude to the VIT-AP University management for their support, stating that the new facilities would enable police personnel to better serve visitors with grievances and interact with the media in a more organised manner. Mr. Kota Reddy noted that the project reflects the university’s commitment to community partnership. He also acknowledged the support and encouragement of Chancellor G. Viswanathan and Vice-President G.V. Selvam in taking up the initiative.
