Murali Mohan, the famous actor-producer-politician-real estate tycoon, has stopped producing films post Athadu. Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas have made it into a cult classic family entertainer. While it did not become a huge success in theatres, it became a huge blockbuster on TV.
Confirming this, Murali Mohan interacted with press before Athadu re-release. He stated that the movie turned a huge profit with Satellite rights and they did not lose money even during theatrical window, but did not see profits. He thanked both Mahesh and director Trivikram for such a film.
He revealed that from past two years they have been working on re-release version and he is happy to finally, bring it to audiences. He expressed confidence on people flocking to theatres to watch it. He rubbished rumors about doing Athadu 2 with some other actor or director.
Murali Mohan categorically stated that if both of them give dates, he will produce Athadu 2. He also stated that his production house Jayabheri films will start producing films in coming years, after setting up a team to streamline everything.
