After quite some deliberation and scheduling conflicts, a few of us in Pune did manage to catch up and have our meetup
BHPian ashishk29 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:
Mahindra BEV meetup: Pune edition
Big thanks to Satish for spearheading the planning, and Shrikant for suggesting an incredible venue!
The plan was simple. Have a nice drive in the fresh morning air, catch some nice views, and scarf down some good food for breakfast.
We all assembled at the Oxygen fountain in Magarpatta City. Nice spot for some group photos:
And for a quick light show with Groove Me

Post that, we headed out. Destination: Strong malhargad. A small fort near Saswad. Not a long drive, but a very scenic one.
As with any drive, a tea break in the morning is mandatory.
We reached the destination after a short drive. The last portion of the drive was a mud trail. It had rained quite heavily in the morning, so the whole thing was a slush pit. Hardly any traction to go around.
Shrikant somehow managed to push on!
It was incredible to see this 2-ton vehicle being able to push up a muddy trail with just RWD!
A couple of short videos of the drive up:

Once up top, it was a short climb on foot. There was a vague notion of a staircase there. As in, we could somehow climb. Just about. But once we reached the fort, the views were nothing short of breathtaking!
The little BE6 that could:
Time for some group photos!
From L to R: Myself, Shrikant, Sumit, Rahul, and Satish.
We had the audience of some Starlings with us:
It truly is marvelous, the kind of construction they achieved hundreds of years back, on top of hills and mountains!
After that, we headed back down. We hit the road in no time and on to our breakfast destination, Shivneri Misal.
The misal was positively scrumptious! Suffice to say everyone there enjoyed it thoroughly.
After we ate to our heart’s content, it was time for endless discussions about our cars, right in the restaurant’s parking area.
We spent close to an hour just going through the minutiae of cars that we had already been discussing for the past several months! After all, what kind of automotive enthusiasts would we be if we didn’t
Post that, it was time to head home. With a mind full of memories (and phones full of photos), we all went our way.
Will definitely keep the tradition up, hopefully with even more members the next time around!
