My Royal Enfield Electra: Happily munching miles even after 1,32,000 km

Its fuel efficiency has increased after the carb tuning. It feels easier in the city than my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

Bhpian shield recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

The motorcycle happily munches miles and hit 1,32,000 kms today.

I have been using it more often now since I drop my daughter off at school and my wife off to work, which is around 23-25 kms round trip twice a week and the rest of the week is covered by the Interceptor. The Bullet is much more comfy and spacious when doing these drops compared to the Inty.

Post me tuning the carb after it was changed by the mech during the last service, the fuel efficiency has increased now to 27 kmpl from 25. The engine runs much smoother and I enjoy the ride, especially after the oil change a few months ago.

I am glad I went for a CI engine when I bought this bike in 2002 instead of the AVL since the life of this engine and parts are way more, with of course by following regular general service.

I didn’t do any rides after the last one as I felt I was straining the engine, although it can cruise happily if I do around 60-65 kmph. It feels happier in the city than the Inty.

Getting a rain and motor wash.
