Kurnool:The government general hospital in Kurnool has successfully completed two rare and complex surgeries in its surgery department II. She required repeated blood transfusions. Sumalatha underwent a splenectomy followed by a splenorenal shunt. In the second case, 53-year-old Rangaswamy from Gonegandla, a chronic alcoholic, was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis.
He underwent lateral pancreaticojejunostomy surgery and was safely discharged afterward. Both surgeries were led by Prof. Dr. Ramakrishna Nayak, assisted by a skilled team of surgeons and anesthesiologists.
