Film Chamber proposes conditional hikes to Film Workers

The Active Producers of the Telugu Film Chamber have provided clarity on a proposed wage hike for film industry workers. At a recent media conference, producers agreed to a tiered wage increase contingent upon the Federation accepting certain conditions they have stipulated.

For workers earning up to ₹2,000 per day, the proposed increase is 15% in the first year, followed by a 5% increase in both the second and third years. For those with a daily wage of ₹1,000 or less, a 20% hike is proposed for the first year, followed by a 5% increase in the third year, with no change in the second year.

Chamber Secretary Damodar Prasad stated that these hikes are only valid if the Federation accepts the producers’ terms. The event was attended by prominent producers including Vishwa Prasad, Nagavamsi, Mythri Naveen, Sudhakar Cherukuri, Radhamohan, Sahu Garapati, S.K.N., Bapineedu, and Cherry.
