Tirupati: Mystery shrouds the death of an intermediate girl student who allegedly died by suicide at her hostel room at a private junior college at Nellore on Sunday morning. Local police stated that the deceased was identified as Hemasree (17), a resident of Rasapalyam in Satyavedu mandal of Tirupati district. Hemasree was found dead at her hostel room by her hostel mates. Though the hostel management immediately shifted her to a local hospital, doctors confirmed that she was brought dead.Parents and relatives of the deceased girl staged protests near the junior college hostel, demanding action against the management. Representatives of students unions extended support to the victim’s family and the protests turned violent when the angry agitators damaged furniture and window panes at the hostel premises. Nellore police enquired about the incident and registered a case based on a complaint from the victim’s parents. Police shifted Hemasree’s body for postmortem to the Govt General Hospital at Nellore and are further investigating into case.
