BHPian crackparag recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Personally, I don’t think the new car prices in India are justified. The last new car I purchased was in 2017 and I still use it till date. Since then, I have added two ‘luxury’ used cars in the garage and a new Thar immediately at launch (new because Thar wasn’t really available in the used market). As a strategy I buy an ‘expensive’ used car which is about 4-5 years old, send it to Sunil Shanbhag for preventive maintenance once a year (sometimes twice a year!) and enjoy it for 10 – 12 years. My current ride – a used 10 year old Porsche Cayenne (958.2) that I picked up three years back for a sweet deal. The car runs tight even today notwithstanding its age. For the price I paid, I could not have managed to get any new car that gave me bang for the buck. This is how she looks now.. Read BHPian comments for more insights and information.
