2nd-gene BMW IX3 Based on new class Platform revealed

2nd-gene BMW IX3 Based on new class Platform revealed BMW recently revealed the second-generation iX3. The new electric SUV is the first EV based on the Neue Klasse platform. It also debuts a brand-new design language. The new BMW iX3 features an upright front fascia with a vertically oriented kidney grille flanked by slim headlamps with a new light signature. The SUV has squared-off wheel arches that house 20-inch alloy wheels. The rear features slim wraparound LED taillights and a chunky bumper with vertical reflectors on either side. The interior of the new iX3 has a futuristic design. The minimalistic dashboard layout comprises a 17.9-inch central touchscreen running on BMW OS X. A full-width Panoramic Vision system sits just below the edge of the windscreen. The SUV has a panoramic glass roof and a unique 4-spoke steering wheel. The iX3 is based on an 800V architecture and comes with a 108.7 kWh battery. It supports DC fast charging up to 400 kW, adding 372 km of range in just 10 minutes, and can charge from 10-80% in 21 minutes. The iX3 50 xDrive uses dual electric motors with a combined output of 463 BHP and 645 Nm. BMW claims it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h. The SUV can cover 679-805 km in a single charge (WLTP cycle).
