Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao has stated that it was the government’s responsibility to protect the land and livelihoods of the farmers and urged reconsideration of the RRR (Regional Ring Road) alignment without affecting them.

He assured farmers of Puttapaka of Choutuppal mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district village that he will bring to the notice of the state government about their problems who were affected due to change of alignment for RRR (Regional Ring Road).

The farmers, many of whom are small and marginal landholders expressed their distress, stating that the current alignment places a significant financial burden on them and threatens their livelihoods. Mr. Rao promised to take the matter to the notice of the relevant authorities to find a solution. The farmers met the state BJP president at his office and appraised him about their problems in Hyderabad on Sunday (September 21, 2025).

They stated that they are facing considerable losses due to a change in the alignment of the southern part of RRR, which now encroaches upon their agricultural land. They wanted the government to cancel the current road plan and conduct a new survey as their valuable agricultural fields could be saved if the road is built on the adjacent hill land which is unsuitable for farming.

Congratulates ABVP

Mr. Rao congratulated the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for its spectacular victory in the students union elections at the Hyderabad Central University (HCU). “This win once again proves that ABVP is the sole representative of the true aspirations of students. The ABVP has received unprecedented support as its member students believe and have a clear understanding that the nation comes first, followed by caste and religion,” he said.

Mr. Rao recalled how opposition parties had previously spread lies and malicious propaganda against the ABVP and the BJP, exploiting the Rohit Vemula incident. “They tried to divide students along the lines of caste and religion,” he said. “But in the end, the students themselves realised the truth. This victory was a strong response to the disruptive leftist and separatist forces” the state BJP chief asserted, according to a press release..
