With a plot twist worthy of a Bollywood blockbuster, we are now proud owners of a Jeep Meridian Overland 4X4 – yes, the one with the legendary Willys DNA coursing through its veins! The official handover happened on September 3rd, 2025, and let me tell you, the odometer barely had a chance to yawn before we hit the highways like there was no tomorrow. And yes, the “road trips” began immediately – so much so that even our car’s GPS is begging for a vacation. That explains the radio silence on this thread: too busy clocking miles, collecting memories, and probably confusing toll booth operators across the country. Thanks to the Annual pass introduction, which is helping us.The BackstoryNow, about the backstory, how did this beauty land in our garage? It’s a thrill packed with suspense and drama. There is an epic tale behind the change in colour from the one we initially booked. Trust me, this story has more plot twists than a soap opera marathon, but you’ll have to wait for the next episode. With that said, let me tease you with the grand reveal: behold, our stunning pearl white Meridian Overland 4X4! Yes, destiny worked its magic, and my dear Appa and Amma fell in love at first sight with the colour, who wouldn’t, right? stay tuned for exhilarating tales of the purchase and the wild rides that followed. In the meantime, feast your eyes on these first-look photos from Pre-delivery. Spoiler alert: the car shines brighter than what I have ever seen on the road! No PPF and no ceramic done as we felt it’s not needed on this beauty. After lots of drama, we got the car delivered by the second dealer, yeah, second dealer in Bangalore. So, you know why a detailed PDI was done. With a lot of discussions, connects, back and forth, we got a freshly made Meridian Overland 4X4 ( Aug 2025 manufactured car- produced for us). We booked 2 Meridians, one for us and one for my Appa’s friend. We did an exclusive Pre-delivery inspection with the help of Zekardo as suggested by many in our community, and trust me, it was worth every buck, posting the video of the detailed PDI and step-by-step procedure that was followed. Posting this video for the benefit of our community. Now coming to the cost The total negotiated cost was 48 Lakhs on the road with an assurance of new production. Meridian Overland 4X4 – Pearl white 5 years – 1.25 lakhs Km warranty 5 Years service package – 75K kilometers Full cover insurance with all bells and whistles All original Jeep accessories – Slush carpets and cargo mats, Mud flaps, Neck pillows and cushions, Footstep, Jeep window screens, number plate guard, and few Jeep addon’s in terms of welcome kit.Additional cost involvedIn addition to the above cost , we ended up spending to get a preferred VIP number through Karnataka RTO One crate AdBlue – 4 bottles We never waited for the GST benefits and you know when we booked this car, it took almost 50+ days to get the car delivered. Jeep India sounded more like the 4X4 is not the most preferred models and for them this is more or less like order to make. If you are particular about the colour then it takes more long as it happened to us.Now coming to the initial driveIt’s just WOW, the interiors are premium, comfort is good, ADAS is cool, and I can assure you that you will love the travel comfort. You might be thinking how you can tell us so quickly, guys, you know us and hear me, we have driven 1500 Km in the initial 3 days, and the odometer stands at 2200 Km now. We got the car delivered on 3rd late evening and we took the beast for blessing straight from the showroom. As quoted by the priest, “all blessings were done just before hitting church” there were blessings in the form of heavy showers, felt like one of the heavy rains in Bangalore that evening. The next day we were all set for a long-distance travel to take the car home to show to my grandparents.
