My Kia Carens Clavis EV HTK+: First impressions BHPian mso1269 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Hi all, posting for people interested in the HTK+ variant. After the test drive of the lower battery pack, I went ahead and bought the HTK+ in Imperial Blue on 11th Aug.The drive and pickup feel almost identical for both battery packs. As mentioned before, I believe this is the most VFM variant at 18.70 lakhs on-road (accessories included: body cover, all 4 door metal plates, 4D mats, mud flaps, and neck pillows). Insurance with all add-ons cost me around 49k.First Impressions:I’ve driven around 2,100 km so far (all within the city) and I’m averaging slightly above 8 km/kWh. The first service was done at 1,200 km, which was just a routine check and wash. For charging, I’m using the 3.3 kW charger provided with the car and don’t feel the need to buy the wall-mounted charger (my daily average is 70-80 km). The overall experience has been amazing. It’s good to drive (as long as the roads are decent) and excellent for chauffeur duties in the city. If I had to point out a few negatives: 1. Almost nobody who has sat in the car has been able to close the doors properly in one go – they need extra force compared to other cars. Might be an issue with my unit; I’ll get it checked. 2. It doesn’t feel very planted on broken roads. If you want to glide over bad patches and potholes, the Harrier EV is the one to go for. But if you need your car to handle double duties – chauffeur-driven as well as self-driven – the Clavis EV is the better choice.Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
