BHPian jaganm recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Did my yearly run to Goa last week. On both directions, we took the Dharwad-Anmod-Mollem to our Airbnb in Dabolim (Tata Rio de Goa, a lot of flats, a good option if you want to visit different parts of Goa). The road from Ramnagar to the Anmod ghat is mostly fixed; there were a couple of bad patches, which are around 2-3 km in length. Anmod ghat itself has OKish roads, but once you get to Mollem, the roads of Goa are butter smooth. Having been there so many times, we decided to take it easy this time, relaxing in the Airbnb till 11 and then moving out for a leisurely lunch and some sights. Food was at quite a few places, Martins Place in Benaulim, Caravela cafe in Panaji were the highlights. As vegetarians, the options in Goa are always a bit limited, but the variety and taste always make up for it. The beach experience was the worst so far. We usually go to Benaulim for the excellent bathing facilities there. Firstly, the tide was really low with a lack of waves, plus the lifeguard was over-aggressive, whistling if we got beyond knee level. Benaulim is a really shallow beach, and you can easily go 100 feet in and still be just waist high. Plus, the beach chairs were not yet active, waiting for the season to start.
